I did augment a few areas by transplanting some sprouted tulips this spring, as there were a few bare spots. Still, with another 100 bulbs or so this fall I think this area will be very impressive next spring.
Provided, of course, that the zombie apocalypse does not occur between now and next spring. Thnking further, this will still be an impressive display even if zombies take over, since they have no use for tulips, but there will be few if any humans to see the floral display.

The answer to those squirrels is one or more dogs - and rumor has it that you own puggles.
Now don't get me wrong here. What you own is your own business, and if you think puggles are safe in a suburban neighborhood where there are likely to be children, than that's your business. I'm just saying.
So if you actually do have one or more dogs, why don't you let them run around the back yard a little? They'd likely make short work of the squirrels.
"Squirrels eating my (flower) bulbs;" I had no idea that you were an 80 year old man haha.
The next step is yelling at kids that aren't your own (or that are students).
